Meanwhile, Tesla sales in China declined in October from the previous month. Tesla batteries have much more lithium than lower-cost EV's from Chinese manufacturers, so the trend may indicate less demand. BYD sold about 165,000 units. If the average battery has 10kg of lithium, that's 1,650 metric tons. More cobalt and manganese than that is needed, so do your own research on which battery metals are the best investment.
