vintage et al - what is the current permitting status of emu? My understanding is that they have a ways to go before they produce their sensitivity / specificity numbers for the FDA but can the machines be used for non-research purposes in the meantime?
Even if the machines they make now are not commercially usable I'm guessing the act of manufacturing them on a pilot line is a valuable learning opportunity for the production engineers for when it is time to scale up production. Just a side note, any machines produced on the pilot line would possibly be valued at what they cost, not the projected sale price of the commercial version.
In any case, I think this to be unequivocally positive news. Does not guarantee a successful outcome of course but still a necessary milestone.
