Hurricane 1 – Offshore Carnarvon Basin – WA208P (Mosaic Oil 6%) At 0600 hours (EST) today, the Hurricane 1 well was at 1750 metres and setting intermediate casing. The Hurricane prospect in a known oil province lies within WA208P in the Carnarvon Basin. It is 11 kms west of the producing Legendre oilfield in an adjacent permit. The prospect is estimated to have mean potential recoverable oil reserves of 24 million barrels from estimated potential of 75 million barrels of oil in place. The well has a planned total depth of 3200 metres.
