The shorter mine life of ESS certainly has an effect on the final NPV but this again is an unrealistic assumption.
We're assuming that ESS never manage to find any more spodumene on their extensive tenements and also that once they've exhausted the current deposit, they will just mothball the plant and write it off. We'll have a relatively new plant sitting in the middle of a lithium mining corridor but we won't be able to sell it or use it to process ore from other nearby mines. What are the chances of that?
