Investorpedia defines a Standstill Agreement between a banker and a borrower as being an alternative to bankruptcy or foreclosure. In effect it is the lenders endeavouring to control the process of getting their money back within the time stated. They want to be sure that the assets will be sold for sufficient to extinguish their loans. I would like to think that it is a promising signal but I cannot see PNC making it back to a trading stock on the ASX. At best it just prolongs the agony as far as I am concerned.
