Good to see they look like surviving - their business philosophy is worthy of preservation. I would be a little concerned about what the funding rates might be given the atmosphere around the negotiations - regardless it would have to be better than the crippling 20% slapped on them by Carlyle. I was surprised to see that Carlyle were mentioned as being one of the likely funding syndicate. IMO it would be that there was a shortfall in the funding offered by the syndicate and Carlyle agreed to continue funding that shortfall - that rate will be interesting considering the vulture-like nature of some private equity entities.
