I was startled by this ann. It was anything but boring, certainly not snooze-worthy. The last Monument assay was reported over 2 years ago. Curious to see what VRL/SI6 had there, I mapped the assays reported in 2021 and 2022.

They are included in the kmz file below ( use with Google Earth https://earth.google.com/web/ ).
The kmz also includes the Magnetic TMI RTP map, so prospective zones for further exploration are easily identified. That map also explains the high proportion of barren holes, especially in the west and south, all placed in an inappropriate infill pattern.
The mapped elevations have been corrected to the Copernicus DEM.

VRL's best assay at Monument is MOAC297. Reported on 19/12/2022, 9.03gm/t ! 1m from 4m ! EOH at 6m ! Never mentioned or drilled again. Why ?

Viewed in 3D, the Korong prospect seems to show a steeply dipping chain of assays that runs for over 600m. At 22% grade it is possibly too steep for UG mining ?

Given the assays published, it really is not clear why Waihi (well, why not Fred's). Most of the drill hole marks in the figures "Figure 3. Korong deposit longsection" and "Figure 4. Waihi deposit longsection" refer to 'Historic Drill Holes'. They are not named or detailed anywhere.
