What else do we want?
Get the company to a point where they only need new Capital to fund MAJOR growth perhaps? (and not continue to rely on shareholders funds just to keep things ticking over?)
Or perhaps announce some industry tie-ups that might lead to speculation of a takeover offer bearing in mind this company is a tiddler (and you know, all the great technology and lack of competition and all).
Or perhaps simply to announce any future raisings at higher valuations (as distinct from lower) because investors can see the value in the company.
While I'm not happy with the company's trajectory I accept it's a tough gig and investing in companies like Spectur is necessarily speculative. What I Don't understand (and which seems to stimulate a lot of the negative commentary on here) is the repeated insistence from a number of HC posters that all is well and under control. It's not. However you look at it they've had to issue more Capital barely 12 months after the last raise and at around half the share price. This isn't great on any measure (it's marginally better than some worst case outcomes) yet some on here are suggesting it's the deal of the century.
The overwhelming trends have been in the wrong direction (revenue growth has come but too slowly, at too great a cost of Capital and at insufficient improvement in profitability). The prevailing trend in the share price since listing reflects that equation.
As both an observer and an investor I hope they are successful and I only wish them well but pretending everything has been heading in the right direction is ignoring reality.
Indeed I hope this need to call on some of their OWN capital for a change is one catalyst to help them improve profitability sufficiently to turn this around. It's great that some in management (and other holders) have sufficient confidence to put their hands in their own pockets, less so great is that in reality they probably had limited other palatable options this time around.
