Yes, nobody has said that the trial participants aren't being dosed with 327.
But the participants are all healthy volunteers, they don't have UTIs.
The urine samples are inoculated with bacteria afterwards to simulate a UTI and the data will be used to establish MICs etc.
I believe many investors don't realise that this UTI trial doesn't involve any UTI patients. I didn't at first.
The timeline presented by the company suggests the current trial readout will be Q4 this year or Q1 next year.
Then, supposedly, start a phase 3 UTI late 2024. I'll be pleasantly surprised if that happens.
