This trial is starting to sound like another year of results and expenses that ultimately still do not tell us if we can safely treat an infection Internally in a human via iv dosing? And based on recent information that seems to indicate the new cr money will be mostly gone after another 18 months. If they can't treat uti in human directly then surely sepsis will not even be started until they can.
Should we expect to see sepsis trial progress in a similar way? Ie dose for required time then take blood and "add sepsis" to see if it kills infection. Similar to what Alv917 is implying I assume sepsis is as much about shock and inflammation as it is just bacteria.

The question for me over last few years has been how will body and internal organs respond when we actually start killing bacteria en masse within the body. I thought after it seemed to take so long to get these various phase 1 iv results then phase 2 efficacy of 327 within human body would be the logical next step but now that seems to be pushing out over the horizon.
