Well I’ve read some interesting theories here today so below is mine
Why they drilled seaclem1 and not one of the other targets.?
It appears there where originally 4 possible drill targets.
The original hole to drill ( Which I believe IMO was South fish or Baleen ) was to close or in sight of the shore of Forresters beach and was moved further out so to be out of sight.
Hence To the Seaclem site which was not the original target hole. But probably plan C or D.
There was obviously a lot of back flack from politicians and locals. Which caused the moving of the drill target further out
The four approx hole positions are in the map below as you can see the southern most being South fish and to the North of it Baleen are the two closest to the shore which must have been seen from the shore.
