IMO the 25c is historical and MTM have tried to minimise dilution on that front. the oppies are free and also tradeable so from an investor perspective I see it as icing on the cake. it's 2c of extra value right now, so the effective discount of this raise is more than 30% discounted. as you say time will tell...
