    Hi Tony, thanks for your reply.

    So a coal fired power station for ATQ to supply coal too, could be some time away and I should not really take that into account regarding ATQ's near term plans.

    So the cement companies that are expressing interest in Atomic's coal are going to use it to fire their kilns, though I cant help but wonder if it is coal that's the big supply issue for them right now or electricity.

    Unfortunately I think the bigger issue is electricity.

    I read that Tanzania's cement production is about 3 million metric tonnes per year and it takes 450g of coal for about 900g of cement produced.

    ( Someone much better at maths can work that out for me )

    So although it will be good to sell coal to the local cement companies, IF that goes ahead ATQ's income may still be restricted by TANESCO's poor handleing of securing reliable electricity. This is the main issue with regards to Tanzania. The cement companies are struggling with erratic power supply and also cheaper imports from Chindia.
