I can't speak to whether the SPP will be a success or not, but as a long standing holder i think i will take an opportunity to buy more at a lower price considering the Entergy contract news recently derisks to an extent.

However, my lower price will likely be an on-market one, not via SPP, as regarding the previous posters "Retail is better off buying on market at the time of any raise in current state as the SP generally falls below offer price for any company at the moment", i do tend to agree my experience unfortunately with my more recent SPP purchases is regret i didn't show patience and wait for x weeks after the raise due to further price declines.

I was not looking to add prior to the announcement due to a reasonably healthy position already, but if as was suggested - and i tend to agree - the price drifts back to single figures post raise, i will likely increase the holding a bit.
