From my research Louisiana has one offshore oil port for export of oil. It is their only deep water port. I am unsure if this will be enough to handle existing export volumes on top of future TMS development and export. I also wonder if TMS will need to lay a pipeline to connect to the port or junction onto existing pipeline. I realize I am listing more questions here than answers but I cant seem to find definitive information relating to the TMS as it is undeveloped. There is a Plains/MPC/BP/Capeline oil pipe coming from the north to the Clovelly Hub where all the different pipelines connect to and get sent out to the loop terminal for loading. It is a key factor in future expansion and large scale operations. Currently I believe they use oil tankers. Look forward to opinions from others.
