Don't beat yourself up Unlucky Bacs, you would not be the first that has followed what reads at face value to be a good story.
General working capital includes the continuance of nice wages to executives and non executives whilst getting performance bonus's. What performance? 55cents highs to .007 cents lows. Nice gig if you can get it. They have very little option but to hold on to the leases whilst they try and get a commitment from a future partner. They are going to have to give up a lot to raise $60 Mill+ for say 5 more wells. $60 Mill is a lot when the companies current market cap is only $55 Mill. It would only take one more failed drill and IMO its all over as far as proving the ability to consistently drill at economic levels to prove concept for ATS. They would have to pass it on to the next group. Then it would be a race between the diminishing need for oil and the improvement of technology that enables the extraction of the resource. Or am I too logical. I hope these guys are not backing out but spending exhaustive hours churning through possible partnership deals or other variable debt/equity options to move forward. The next 6 months is going to test the real calibre of this management group. Aurora had a nice set of circumstance. Their Stars all lined up. Let's see how they perform under a much more difficult environment. Then again a sale at 5 -10 cents would most likely recover their capital. Just saying.
