Yep this is less onerous and more generous than your usual SPP, and allows for more discretion as to how much is put in - you can exercise as many as you like.
As I posted earlier after our 708 friend leaked the details early, this scheme allows for retailers to participate at the same level as the sophs, avoid dilution, at liberty, but without a drawn out process, paperwork, and tied up capital.
In addition, the entire company is subject to performance incentives - if they get the SP to 20c and above they get further funding.
I can't see how an SPP is better in any way, except that some may be able to opt in for a greater proportion of shares than they currently hold off market. If you want more options, you need to buy more on-market shares now.
