UBS didn't pay for any shares
underwriters are a bit like brokers with the difference of if it is undewritten they would have paid for shares not placed with investors
at this stage we do not know how got the shares - read the release:
demand by existing and new institutions
UBS would have collected an underwriting fee (industry standard 2% ?)
