Both directors have a fair bit of skin into SYA...I feel they just wanted others to see that they too endorsed the CR by showing that they are both prepared to put up their cash as well.
The share price today also allows others to participate at (or close to) the issue price. I have done so, as I have in all of the previous CR's since 2017. In reality, nothing much has changed other than SYA's ability to move quickly on all fronts (and use initiative), rather than to be hamstrung, forced to wait for (key) events to take their turn, before being able to respond (being able to take advantage of the funds available). Timing and opportunity. The impact of the new shares on issue is a relatively small price to pay, at this juncture, for this almost priceless flexibility.
