Agreed, $50 million for SPP is very small and if the EVN share price maintains anything like a 10% premium above $3.85 there will be a flood of applications that will not be satisfied
However, there is the possibility that EVN can use its discretion and make more shares available like what Newcrest did last year, doubling the size of their SPP from $100M to $200M
That said, it will be what it is, and every holder will have to weigh up the investment thesis before taking up SPP, and who knows what state the gold and general market conditions will be like in 4 weeks
