Wilbert had discussed a capital raise after these results. In my opinion (uninformed) that would be too risky. Any sort of negative result the share price would be savaged and you are then stuggling big time to raise capital and potentially insolvent.
David has taken the initiative to raise funds now to mitigate risk. Prudent risk management. The capital raise had to be done with the options carrot and the easiest and swiftest way is through sophisticated investors. Don't underestimate how hard it is to raise funds in these markets! This is a massive positive that we have $5.5mil to see us through PL4 & PL5. I also don't see the options as a negative as it provides further funding for the company as the options are exercised. 86mil options at 5.5 cents equals a further $4.7mil.
We are
- Adequately Cashed
- 34 Patents that are 100% ours
- PL3 was retested and now has cell operation in the megabit memory array. (This has been incorporated into PL4 and derisks that test)
- Additional improvements to the memory cell were demonstrated on wafers processed at the Stanford and have also been incorporated into PL4.

By no means will we achieve our goals (nothing is given) but the progress that has been made is huge. As a $55 million market cap company there is massive upside potential with less immediate downside risk as of yesterday.

a very sensible interpretation of the situation. I'm personally happy with how they did it, they strategicly released some information to increase value, then sold a CR based on that increased vwap, then the price has basicly returned back to where it was but we've also now got the knowledge that there will NOT be a CR after pl4.

I think its a smart move and good for shareholders in the longrun.
