IPT's biggest shareholder, Deutsche Balaton AG, is a Germany-based investment company listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange
The group has minority and majority shareholdings in listed and unlisted companies and invests in real estate and ships.
Its Australian portfolio includes shares in some 26 ASX companies.
It owns about 12% of $ATC/Altech Batteries (MC $164m), 8% of IPT, 7% of Marvel Gold (MC $11m) and 7% of $KIN/Kin Mining (MC $49m).
I presume the group conducted thorough due diligence before backing IPT's strategy to expand into the high purity alumina space. DB's endorsement is encouraging.
