Unrelated, but an interesting snippet on the ABC News today re a DMRS suspension order calling a halt to Telfer Processing, due to a tailings dam crack. Newmont must be wondering what other problems they have picked up, and why the mining cash-cow that funds the state and the nation gets such unsympathetic press and political commentary (politicians playing for cheap applause of course). But they're big boys, and it's just as bad or worse in the States..
