So many companies running low on funds these days after, mainly, expending a lot in the ground. I asked a Q at a recent board meeting for another company about why raise then. The reason was fairly obvious as was the response that "you don't always get to choose the time of your raise".
The last 6 months are a near perfect storm for exploration companies fresh off the euphoria of rising commodity prices and a rosy long term outlook that inspired putting money into the ground. This got hit by multiple whammies of negativity just as the coffers started to dry up and the tin needed to be rattled at, ouch, 12c.
Hopefully enough to get some positive results though I wonder if some of the projects in the NT are logistically possible coming into the wet. Perhaps Sandover which is well south. BHP JV has been fairly quiet...?
FWIW a geo at one of the conferences I attended rated Sandover as an excellent target. If it were the only project ENR had I wouldn't invest. As a wild card IMO along with the rest of the stable it could be the outsider that has local areas of thicker high grade stratigraphically controlled Cu with the Li as a bonus. While not necessarily a good comparison, for mineralisation style, Kamoa/Kakula/Molakai(?) in the DRC came as recent, left field discoveries within 20Kms of Kolwezi (500+Mt 4% Cu from 60 years of mining and reserves going into the future + Co/U)
Aileron REE values seem to have caused a kick but the levels are IMO fairly low for hard rock. Still good as they come from what almost constitute wildcat holes.
Lots of potential in the ground.
