Yep, 'interesting' timing. Application for Para #3 (well #43-019-50003 if you are interested...) was lodged in mid-October. I have confirmed this with Utah Oil & Gas.

Mid-October application date plus 45 to 60 days for processing = Mid-December at the latest. The announcement of a successful application would of course give the SP a little boost, so you have to ask yourself why do the placement now when they could place at (for argument sake) 5-6c in a week's time? Would that have been a better result for shareholders?

Conspiracies aside, the only reason I can see for doing the placement right now is that there is perhaps some kind of financial viability test associated with well approval. ie unless you can show that you have the funds to drill the well, Utah O&G wont approve.

Now, back to the conspiracies...
