when a party brings a few hundred million dollars to the table, they need to be hands-on and have a major say to make sure the money isn’t squandered. 

You are asking for the impossible. In essence, you are asking someone to bring hundreds of millions and let JD push all the buttons when his track record of capital management is abysmal and he plays favourites. As we now know, he certainly prefers new faces over long-term old faces, and this is a major hurdle. IMO he is a major hurdle.

Let someone else operate the mine. Let us sit back and enjoy a cut of the profits.
