agreed!
a tech company that removes the CEO who built the tech and then hires a CTO and then has him leave and then decided it best to depend on outside tech is not actually a tech company at all. it's a place for executives to take salaries at the expense of shareholders until the company fails. I've been right from 10c to 0.4c and I'll probably be right until 0.1c, that isn't to say that there may not be some tiny spikes along they way. 0.5c is still a lot more than 0.1c shell.
