I believe they like sport Analogies DIB.
Something like going to the soccer, knowing that a game is at minimum 90min, and having an idiot friend, first time watching the game, constantly saying...... "I bet you they wont score" every time your team goes forward! People that know however, understand that all you need is a 1-0 scoreline in your favor at the final whistle! Until that time though, all you can do is perhaps advise said idiot friend, that soccer may not be the sport for them? Or get them to go grab you a beer as often as you can! The time they spend waiting in queues for the beer, together with the soothing, numbing sensation the extra beers you have been forced to consume, may just keep you sane long enough to see out the outcome of the game!
All imo opinion of course.....
