The Moosehead-1 Aptian maturity is reported to be marginally mature by most. PCL are one of the few that refer to it as early mature. Dataroom attendees will have a conservative view. In Kabeljou-1, the Aptian was not an oil-prone source rock, It was considered Type III which is gas-prone. I am uncertain as to why PCL say it is oil-prone. I believe it was marginal for oil maturity also. So not a lot of oil coming out of that source rock in the Kabeljou-1 immediate area.
Maturity is primarily influenced by the amount of overlying sediment (and related temperature). The more burial there is, the hotter it gets and the greater the maturity. Light oil with gas (thermogenically-derived) is typically associated with the late-oil window. If there is lots of gas, it might suggest further into the gas window. Depending on the relative amounts of gas and oil, you can kind of estimate the maximum maturity. The image below might help.
