What european companies would be interested in REE, there are plenty that want uranium, if a company was to jv ggg they would need to be a REE play to access the uranium unless they decide to split it with GGG?

The Chinese is a possibility especially for the REE market which they have cornered, REE is becoming a very important security issue with the US worried about chinas strangehold on the industry as REE is used in a lot of defense instruments.

Talk was the directors were in europe though, so this makes me think china is less likely.

When it comes to europe and uranium im running with Rio tinto, rio is already big in uranium and also has some rare earth deposits, Rio Tinto Exploration is active in Greenland through an alliance with Nuna Minerals, a partly state owned entity that is actively exploring Greenland for a variety of mineral deposit types.

In July 2007 Institutional Placement of 8.8 million shares at an issue price of A$ 1.00 for
proceeds of A$ 8.8 million with Sampension, the leading Danish Governmental Superannuation Fund taking
the majority with A$ 4.0 million, at the time 3 other mineral investment funds bought in also.

The difference this time is these critical words "including companies operating in the same commodity groups as the Kvanefjeld project."

So Im going with a Rio play or some other major european diversified miner.

    Any other guesses?

http://www.theaustralian.news.com.au...-36418,00.html .........CHINA has triumphed in a 15-year quest to become the "ultimate monopolist" in the supply of rare earth metals - a dominance that industry experts say could give Beijing control over the future of consumer electronics and green technology.

Industry sources believe that with China dramatically cutting its annual rare earth export quotas, the time may be rapidly approaching when it will be impossible for any company to produce a wind turbine or hybrid electric car outside the communist country.
