Dollar cost averaging is a great strategy (as long as you are confident in the stock). I've done it for 10 years and bought it nearly 50 times. My average is now under 4. If I waited until getting my original price, I've got a long way to get to 17c. So two scenarios.
1. Only buy once and hope to get my money back at 17c OR 2. Invest along the way and make a very good profit when it gets back to 17c (or 300%).
