Spending money repairing second hand equipment.
I know they run on a shoestring, but buying worn out machinery is not always the best approach.
And where do they get the mechanics to repair these things. And I bet they don't have parts readily available. My experience is that the locals don't have the skill set.
What would take a week in Australia to get operating could take a month in PNG.
