As we speak the U.S to Australian dollar has an arbitrage of about 62%.
Australian Gold producers will be part of the U.S Wishlist result of Basel 3 and depolarization. Gold as a Tier 1 asset confronts the U.S dollar and debt sales in the form treasuries and so the U.S itself wants the Precious Metal. U.S banks and funds are major holders in absolutely EVERY MINER and they want more.
Imagine being able to buy the following:
1 Vau share at $0.21 U.S to Aus $1.00 Conversion rate of about 62%.
This price giveaway of Australian Miner prices to U.S investors would and I suggest is a deal of a lifetime.
Now this goes across the Australian Mining industry when valuations are based in U.S dollars and further extends Worldwide with a U.S dollar at $1.08.
Flip side you aint buyin U.S stocks or products unless you want to pay a heavy arbitrage on currency exchange.
Why wouldn't U.S banks and funds travel the world and suck up good, safe, tier one assets in friendly safe countries.
This should push local spot prices higher I would think , alas not so. The investment must be cheaper as the necessity to offset debt , leverage , is so great that the U.S must by any means squeeze an extra percentage rate just to keep the interest repayments as leveraged viable.
In short there is a major Macro game in play , the U.S has an arbitrage beyond scale and their debt is being ignored and U.S dollars are infultrating all markets at a great pace. The intrusion includes Australian Miners and the world is trying to wake up yet ever so slow.
I wish I could make a killing by using someone else's money , but alas I do not have either the balls or ethics for that.
Imagine a worldwide margin call on debt?
Hey all of you Have A Merry Christmas.
