I think its important to remember how ATL1102 works. It does not prevent the production of t cells. It blocks a receptor on the protein cell, that helps the cell stop over expressing cd49. That is, it prevents the cell causing too much inflamation. Then, as inflammation reduces. the body slowly reduces the production of extra t cells, as they are no longer needed.

The body uses Inflammation as a way of healing itself. When the immune system identifies a threat. white cells are called and inflammation is the result. It is a kind of priority alert to the immune system that it has work to do.

In some people, a chemical imbalance causes cd49 to over express. This causes more and more inflammation, which then causes harm to other tissue/cells. This is the cohort ATL1102 is aimed at. And this is why the PUL 2 results are the endpoint. As that will show the real world result. That endpiont is then supported by blood data to show a mode of action. That is, show its not a fluke.

So the PUL results and the MRI results are important. They show that controlling the over expression of cd49 works.
