That simulation model has to be run on every array on every one of the 23 x 300 mm wafers, to build up those aging tables, which get fed into the database. The database has to then be analysed and the simulations run again and again for consistency. You then take the results and modify the simulation to generate greater confidence in the data.

Does @jackfrost honestly think this happens in a matter of days?

It's not IMEC's job to run these tests, they can only be run once the wafer is fabbed.

The equipment costs $400k - so better to run that in the company facility rather than the IMEC lab - that is what Mike VB is still on the payroll for.
