Doesn’t surprise me that the far more transparent BMX auction model will start to have material impact on longer term offtake pricing.
I suspect we will start to see that confirmation also show through in other Li entity news flow in terms of various SS, PFS, DFS and FID to come. In my view such news will simply confirm that which the PLS boardroom already know as a consequence of the master stroke a first mover and current producer can make (ie the data behind which customers have been bidding how much so far for spod on the BMX). The actual spot sales are clearly very important but the market knowledge gained first hand via the bidding data is the real white gold here.
