IMO Australian firms with projects deemed essential or critical for the future economy should be able to access State Treasury Corp financing (which is private sector funded btw, through the repackaging and resale of Federal Bonds). Private lenders could still profit from Australian development, just not at the predatory rates set by hedge fund consortiums domiciled in "tax advantaged" jurisdictions.
