Just to clarify, I never tried to join.
Simply noticed people responding to @curiouser27 posts to join her Skype group with phrases like chewing gum and lamingtons, so assumed it was an identity confirmation protocol they were using and replied with my own post "smelly socks".
Bizarrely there was a reply saying "I knew it was you" and "he didn't get in" or words to that effect. Left me wondering who had contacted the Skype group that they suspected was myself and the level or paranoia involved.
Again, I recommend to those hurting, seek professional advice if you do indeed choose to join a group that has been assembled by, and contains some of the most rampant pumpers, sowers of misinformation and fact contortionists of the past many months.
