Thanks for your info re the 8% Keegan sell off and the PMI 15% sell off and you ask why. Quite simply PMI has an ASX listing and Keegan does not, so all the sheep and I mostly include the instos are stepping over each other to sell mining exploration and buy Telstra, that simply is the reason.
How do I know, because I have spoken to many brokers who have tried to show mid sized companies to the big instos and have been told their is an embargo on buying mid/small companies. Welcome to the world of long term investing, "but we can only invest in mature industies with a high yield." Just what your super needs at a time when growth is needed, so all the growth mining companies, the good ones are being bought up cheap by overseas companies. We may be lucky, but in the hands of the instos we are also stupid.
