I think it’s because we are treating the protein deficit which is the root cause potentially a very effective treatment rather than the inflammation which is a result of the disease process like NEU drug. They have different mechanisms of action. I think PYC probably believe it is better to treat the root cause. But combination therapies are common in medicine and as they work on two different mechanisms of action it is possible they will work together better than alone if either is not completely effective.
