Businesses which live and die from customer comments are sometimes targeted with unfair messages
So you are right to say that ensuring fair and truthful input is an issue
In the court of public opinion those who pump and dump are usually idenitified
Someone once said democracy is a faulty system, but better than most of the alternatives
Rating of posts by HC members would be open to manipulation, but maybe worth considering
It already exists in the form of upvotes which are counted, so the addition of formal stars (1 to 5) is feasible ?
Identification of star givers could be backrground computer data, for use by moderators in the event of serious complaints.
Reasons for stars given could be brief from a dropdown list ... counted and summarised easily in this computer age
Fortiter, Fideliter, Feliciter ... Strongly, Faithfully, Cheerfully
