@kevin103. You post here more than many holders do. So you know that 'the lake' does not exist. There is no such object as 'the lake' unless perhaps you are referring to the larger water-body shown in the second image, which is to the north of, and outside the boundaries of, the Corvette property.
Instead of 'the lake', There are dozens of small water bodies varying from <1m to <24m in depth, with the average depth of <7km. This is a pretty accurate representation of rural areas in the entire province of Quebec.
Here is an image of the CV5 area that comprised most of the maiden resource. We are not looking at a massive lake. Nor are we even looking at lots of moderately sized water-bodies. We are looking at around 15 small'ish water bodies surrounded by masses of dry land.
The map below shows approx 16kms of Corvette strike. There is a decent sized water body to the north, and outside of the Corvette property, that you could say is longer than 3-4km but you could not draw a straight line through it without hitting dry land. This map of Corvette really shows how many very small water bodies actually exist. I just cannot be bothered to correlate both images.
I wonder what happens to the fish when these lakes are entirely covered with ice during the winter months? The ice gets so thick and dense that the PMT drillers place drilling rigs on top and drill right through it. Some fish may survive the water turning to ice, but the logical conclusion is that new fish re-enter these small sections of water once the ice thaws. I am not an expert on the life-cycle of the fish species, or even if there are many fish, but I would think that the issue of these mostly small, and shallow, water bodies icing up in winter has to be more of a problem to the fish than the water getting muddied by some summer drilling.
The same issue of small, shallow water-bodies also impacts most of the 20 or so ASX lithium projects in Quebec.
