The most important point is Pogo mine remains open and fully operational because NST have implemented robust measures to keep staff safe.
Some might use this as an excuse to dump shares but this event has no impact on production etc.
Mining remains an essestial service almost everywhere and most countries have now reached the peak of infections while cases in many others are now declining, therefore risks will begin to diminish from here too imo
Gold stocks did particularly well between 1929 and 1935 (Great Depression); 1970s (hyperinflation) and between 2009 and 2011 (Great Recession) so one can confidently predict gold stocks will likely do very well over the next couple of years regardless.
