Not so Jelevant. I have had both conditions. Shingles is an extremely painful excessively itchy nightmare virus that usually lasts 1-2 weeks.
After the sores or rash(s) have subsided and healed, the painful itchiness can persist for many years after. This is what is known as post herpetic neuralgia.
You are correct in terms of Lidocaine, nothing I tried at the time (Including Lidocaine) was able to alleviate the pain and itchiness.
If, If If, POH could come up with an effect shingles cream, it would be a massive market.
