@kevg91, perhaps whoever posted that comment was suggesting that if 3DP had been a lot more transparent (i.e. much less opaque) the SP might be a lot lower in comparison to where it is at the moment, hence current SP is at a premium due to lack of transparency (or alternatively, 3DP opaque reporting style is a contributing reason why the SP hasn't been totally smashed sooner). The veil of obfuscation tends to hide some important aspects of underperformance.
