Allen Iverson did go broke, but he has so much goodwill with fans of basketball. People love AI in ways that Shaq will never be loved. I just think Shaq was such an obvious choice. How many shares did they give him? Would honestly prefer Yao Ming, another underdog who came into the league and transcended the sport. Again, he's different. PointsBet is different. They need to keep differentiating themselves.
I'm fine with regional ambassadors. Maybe time for an ambassador from football (soccer) - the fastest growing sport in the US.
