It's not free to get product registration in a country and it is certainly not free to maintain registration, as you have to keep the regulator up-to-date and keep abreast with regulatory changes in that country. So if they just got registration in 2018 just to park it until 2022 that is a monumental stupid decision.

More likely, they got execution wrong. Going into India is not easy. There are huge companies that have gone there and failed. All I'm saying is I hope they have learned their lessons. The market talk about how big the market is and huge potential there makes me think they have not. The hiring of 2 big expensive hires for a market that is only 2X Australia says they are going to burn cash getting this market and the investment is disproportionate to the opportunity.

And it's not like they are flush with cash. Yeah they improved there net cash position in FY22 by about $2m but they had to sell property to do it. Going into India will likely cost them the better part of that $2m so the payback will need to be quick as it should be, given how confident everyone here thinks they are and how they were able to grow Aus from a standing start in 2019.

Mark this post in 12-months time and revisit. Hopefully, I'm eating my words. But if I'm reading then about how India takes time and patience is needed for this investment to pay off then ⚠⚠⚠⚠⚠. They should have known that before blowing their money on the first good looking girl they see. Instead they will have to genuflect to shareholders with cap in hand. Hope they know what they are doing.
