in fact the MC 51 is specifically being trialled in the Garson mine to assess its capabilities to continuously mine hard rock at a commercially viable rate the equal of or better than traditional blast and drill methods.
It would just be nice to know how its been going
One would expect that the 10 years of development that Komatsu did on the machine gave a high degree of confidence in its ability to do just what it is designed for.
