You didn’t mention the most important part about Ebor.
It once boasted, (unlike Slim’s “ThePub With No Beer”), the ‘Beer with no Pub’ after the hotel burnt down in the 60s.
They used a shed next door with a plank across two barrels as a bar to keep the locals well watered. It stayed that way for quite a while.
Best memories of my youth were at a cattle property at Ebor. Apart from that, it happens to be just up the road from Hillgrove where 3 generations of my family lived.
They never made their fortunes from it either.

I’ve lurked in the background of this forum for some time and have learnt much from the likes of yourself (and others of course). Thanks for that. Keep up the good work.
