Interested to know what you think will bring about a reversal? Obviously, if the performance of the funds improves - that's a start. Try to avoid the media - which has pinned them as everything wrong with exorbitant performance fees - that's a second. Trying to deal with an investment manager not known for his charisma and interpersonal skills - a third.
Given the preceding, there is zero chance of launching any further funds or garnering further FUM for the foreseeable future. I am not sure where that leaves a fund manager and would expect further falls.
Perhaps a market crash as we saw during the COVID sell off would demonstrate their mantra of capital protection. There was limited damage with VGI - as compared to other managers. I hope for everyone this doesn't happen...
They need something.
